Early Stage Runaway Warming

We are in the early stage of runaway abrupt warming that will lead to the collapse of the biosphere.

All science papers and most analysis is very conservative, that is not my role.
I follow the “Precautionary Principle” and can patently see runaway abrupt climate change gaining pace literally every day.

My friend and colleague Professor Guy McPherson will be returning to NZ in November to discuss the implications of Runaway Abrupt Climate Change and how quickly the biosphere will unravel.

Consider the data in this excellent article below from “Think Progress”  and consider what the worst case scenario could be When not if, a multitude of tipping points are crossed and kick in. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Edited on 25/05/18  Exploration – Run Away Global Warming. Host Dr. Michio Kaku speaks with Dr. Peter Ward on the topic of Run-Away Global Warming. I believe they are both being overly conservative.

The Think Progress article mentioned above is embedded here; A Song Of Fire And No Ice: We Just Had Our Fourth Record-Breaking Hottest Month In A Row This Year.

I'm an anti-imperialist, environmental activist and blue ocean sailor, who is passionate about the earth and all it's inhabitants without favour. Brace for imminent impact as we bare witness to the non-linear unraveling of the biosphere and habitability disappearing for most if not all complex life on the only habitable planet we know of. To quote President Niinistö in North Russia: ‘If We Lose the Arctic, We Lose the World’. Folks we have lost the Arctic.

I heard today on Democracy Now that it was the SEVENTH month in a row, not the 3rd as the guardian claims.

Shari, it all depends upon the area being reported on. If you are talking about just your geographical area, then it might be 7 months in a row. The reality is that for the planet, the month of April as calculated by NOAA was the second warmest month in history.

AESOP is developing engines that need no fuel. Many existing engine designs can be modified and produced by existing manufacturers in the millions. Perhaps, fast enough to help make a difference. “It’s important to keep perspective here. Even if we aren’t setting records, we are in a neighborhood beyond anything we had seen before early 2015,” Arndt said in an email. “We’ve left the 20th century far behind. This is a big deal.”
With June’s record heat, the year-to-date is 1.89°F (1.05°C) above the 20th century average, according to NOAA, and 1.96°F (1.09°C) above the 1951-1980 average according to NASA.
The temperatures “are so in excess of any first part of a year that we’ve seen,” Schmidt said.

We are in the early stages of runaway and the cognitive dissonance around accepting that reality is stupyfing. Neither the large NGO’s nor the Green Partys will accept that we have crossed a multitude of tipping points, you’ll notice they never talk about feedback loops any more!

Kevin Hester is currently living on Rakino Island, a small island in the Hauraki Gulf near Auckland, New Zealand, monitoring the unravelling of the biosphere and volunteering at the Rakino Island Nursery is currently developing a proposal to create a marine reserve near by. The Island has no grid tied electricity or reticulated water.  I catch my own water from the roof and generate my electricity from the ample solar radiation on the island.
