So the UN says that our window of opportunity to solve the climate change is getting larger every year. In 1989 in was only ten years. In 2018 it is already two years or even 30 years. In other words, UN says that our need to do nothing to solve the climate change increases every year.

Unfortunately the orcas along the N American Northwest Pacific Coast here are dying, of starvation apparently ( brought on by overfishing and Fukushima I expect ). Scientists are baffled however according to new reports.

Hi Kevin. Just watching the climate unwind (or maybe it is re-winding up to…what I don’t want to experience?) on my end of the planet here by the Canadian border. Gee, this is fun isn’t it? The old Chinese curse comes to mind: May we live in interesting times… Didn’t burn down this year but it’s still dryer than you can imagine a forest being at this latitude.
Thought I’d send along a link to the latest from Hunziker that popped up this morning. Which has links to the most…uncomfortable news about your end of the world; Eastern Antarctica and the Totten Glacier. You know, the part of Antarctica that we don’t have to ‘worry’ about for another hundred years according to the good old boys at the IPCC who have been telling us this for the last 25 years.
Nobody is going to like reading this or following the links. I didn’t. This old surfer would be selling my beachfront property soon if I owned any. But then who can afford beach front property but the wealthy?

I did get a laugh, sort of, in a seriously ironic way at I.M. Norman’s comment post of Mann’s squeal of zero years left to ‘solve climate change.’ That was kind of a shift from the last Mann word play I read here on your site that I commented on! Hmmmm. Not real consistent, is he? Trying to not sound ‘alarmist’ to upset his position at the university but at the same time….
Mann is still insisting on calling this collapse-catastrophe-disaster ‘climate change’ which irks the hell out of me. I never use that term, it’s a joke though one in extremely poor taste.
Also read recently that there is a company in Texas (where else would this happen?) that is selling pre-fabricated giant concrete bunkers that the wealthy are having shipped down your way to install in their recent property acquisitions. Looks like there are a lot of bolt holes being built in New Zealand…as in what do they know that we don’t, eh?
Madness of the elite owners, Kevin, and after thousands of years of psychopaths in the seats of power our species should have learned better.

Thanks for today’s post; links loaded and audio downloaded and will read/listen tonight when at home. I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned your audios on NBL, but the MF – although appropriate for what Mother Nature might say if she could, it’s offensive language which to me detracts from the audios. I’ve learned to fast forward past them, then to stop the audio if it plays at the closing. Many of my readers are sensitive in that way as well, so I hesitate to share, as I feel that they might hear the MF and stop listening before the audio begins.
I’m leaving this on the post from mid September (and I really enjoyed that interview!) as it’s a more-private comment, one probably best put in the trash after you’ve read it!
As always, thanks for all that you do to help awaken the larger audience; I remain baffled how people cannot tell that our planet is sick and have little concern or empathy.

Si. Sorry the comment was hurried when written from the cyber… I listened to the interview twice! I think that more people are starting to wake up and realize while all eyes/ears were on the television play-by-play news, they were missing what’s happening to our planet.

Hmmm. Offensive language over the death of the biosphere. I’m…shocked I tell you, just shocked!
Not over the cussing but that something so trivial as that is put OVER THE DEATH OF THE BIOSPHERE! Because it ‘turns people away from the message?’ I mean, really? Are they that shallow? That narrow minded? No wonder we’re in such trouble on this planet.
Being pissed off and using profanity to accent what is being said is often completely appropriate.
Do you remember the illustrious Vice President ‘Shotgun’ DIck Cheney telling a senior Senator on the floor of Congress to FUC* OFF?
This is how people talk. There is a real lack of…reality in people like the ones you are worried about. I know some around here; too bad they and their spawn will die miserably just like everybody else as this disaster continues to unfold. But they might, as they are watching their kids and/or grandkids starving to death or perhaps fighting off the freaking cannibals, utter a few heartfelt profane words themselves at that point. Which would be completely appropriate!
Then, of course, they’ll completely regret it because it’s so…undignified.
A serious lack of priorities has always been a problem of our species. Along with greed and stupidity. I’ll take honest emotions over polite bullshit any day.
