Michael Dowd and I recorded this interview in September 2019 in his “Post Doom’ series. It’s just been uploaded to You Tube as part of a series with the link to the rest embedded below.
We discussed how we are trying to navigate through this fast unfolding paradigm and how we manage our grief.
Part of my grief management system is to volunteer at the Rakino Island Nursery. It’s working well for me and the bird life on Rakino Island as mentioned in the interview.
My interview is one in a series conducted by Michael Dowd with many interesting participants. The entire series can be found here;
We discussed my collaboration with Dahr Jamail and our research dive at the Poor Knights Marine Reserve for his latest book titled “The End of Ice”. I’ve added a few photo’s below taken on that dive;
Additionally we discussed my interviews with Professor Paul Ehrlich on Nature Bats Laston The Progressive Radio Network. Those interviews have been covered on this blog and are embedded here and here;
The interview with Dr Andrew Glikson from the Australian National University is embedded here; Tipping Points in the Earth Climate System. Dr Andrew Glikson returns to Nature Bats Last
Good luck everybody, the predicament can only be worse than we know.
Wonderful, Kevin! You and Guy are doing holy work, as you know.
Love you, bro!!

In the post-doom era, delusional thinking reigns supreme. It infects even those scientists who until recenty seemed to be in touch with reality. The following evidence comes from an article penned by dr Andrew Glikson: “Earth’s next mass extinction is avoidable—if carbon dioxide emissions are dramatically curbed and we develop and deploy technologies to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.” Delusion or shameful malpractice?

Yeah I agree, it is disappointing from a scientist I have interviewed twice. He does say “Develop and deploy”, but that is fantasy technology at scale. I lost faith on Phys.org long ago, the panel controlling the journal are conservative to the point of dishonest.

Another artistic edit from the Tim Bob channel featuring Professor Guy McPherson, Dr James E Hansen and a few cameo’s from myself taken from my recent interview with Michael Dowd.
I’d like to draw attention to what Dr Hansen said about drawing down carbon and how the oceans will continue to absorb carbon. Look at his demeanour as he speaks, you can see he doesn’t look like he’s telling the truth, his body language is a dead giveaway. He knows drawdown at scale is phantasy technology and he’s aware that the oceans are already suffering from carbonate saturation and are already acidifying and dying. Expecting the oceans to clean up our mess indefinitely is psuedo science and he know it in light of all the feedback loops we have triggered.
Hansen wrote a book titled “The Storms of my Grand Children”, he understands that element of the climate system but isn’t an evolutionary biologist like my co-host on Nature Bats Last.
I used to admire Hansen and Dr Michael Mann but since we have entered abrupt climate change they have both chosen to edit the bad news to the point of outright lying
Guy McPherson and I will continue to deliver the bad news from the front line and we will continue to suffer the “Shoot the Messenger” syndrome but we both refuse to lie to the youth. They deserve that much at least from us considering the catastrophe we have bequeathed them.

Upset. Doesn’t really describe the feelings I’m thinking as I’ve read far too much history concerning the total collapse of the past 22 major civilizations that have arisen on this planet. Not a one left anything but human bones in firepits cracked for the marrow… Yeah, I know, I’m beyond cynical at this point!
To be honest, I think having dread and anxiety is a perfectly normal reaction to what we see coming, Kevin! But some people do become totally paralyzed when looking at the avalanche coming at them so they probably do need an outlet that gives them emotional support they can’t find elsewhere. Good that you post these kind of links, dude. It’s going to get so much worse…
