One of the greatest Pan-Africans of all time, Muammar al-Gaddafi, always supported resistance organizations and independence movements seeking liberation from colonialism and imperialism. He warned of the chaos we are witnessing in West Asia today, decades ago.
His support for our armed self-defense and independence struggle in occupied Ireland and his intention to destroy US dollar hegemony by selling oil in a gold backed Dinah, played a huge roll in Hillary Clinton and Tony Blair having him impaled and his country looted and ransacked. An important detail about the destruction and ransacking of Libya’s Gold and Foreign Currency Reserves, is that they were held in the Sovereign Wealth Fund, not in his private accounts.
“The Libyan Parliament has pushed back against renewed European efforts, led by the United Kingdom, to tap into Libya’s frozen assets, rejecting what it sees as attempts to exploit the country’s wealth under legal pretexts.” The Brits trying to rob the Libyan people, again!
“As Libyans are still waiting for the recovery of these funds, the move has sparked strong political and legal opposition in Tripoli, where officials insist the assets belong solely to the Libyan people and must remain untouched.”
“The British initiative was raised in the House of Lords on April 28, 2025, proposing to allocate part of Libya’s frozen funds to compensate victims of the Irish Republican Army, based on accusations that the former Libyan regime was involved in their deaths.”
Gaddafi-Era Bombs Return to Haunt Libya’s Finances — What’s Behind the Fallout?
“The true extent of Libya‘s support for the Provisional IRA in the 1970s and 1980s has been revealed following the release of secret documents by Ireland’s National Archives.”
Having been told the figure of over $12.6m in cash – the equivalent of roughly $45m in today’s money – British officials said: “Libya has given PIRA (the Provisional IRA) far more money than we had thought”.
I wonder how much of that money was syphoned off by Gerry Adams and his Steaknife traitors? That story uncovered, pursued and exposed by my heroic comrade Seamus Kearney in his epic book: No Greater Love: The Memoirs of Seamus Kearney
That horror story is discussed in the Spotlight video below.
“Meanwhile, a Gardai memo to the Department of Justice in June 1992, part of the documents released on Tuesday, outlined in detail the arms shipments from Libya to Ireland between March 1973 and October 1987.”
“Supplied in five shipments – one in 1973, and two each in 1985 and 1986 – the arms were detailed as 1,450 Kalashnikov automatic rifles; 180 pistols; 66 machine guns; 36 rocket-propelled-grenade launchers; 10 surface-to-air missiles; ten flame-throwers; 765 grenades; 5,800kg of Semtex explosive; 1,080 detonators; and almost 1.5 million rounds of ammunition of various types.”
Comrade Gaddafi’s gift of Semtex changed the dynamics of the conflict. It’s main upside to other plastic explosives was it is odorless, making it near impossible to discover.
Libya: Extent of Gaddafi’s financial support for IRA stunned British intelligence
In the early 1990’s I was delivering a yacht from British occupied Gibraltar to Greece and when offshore of Libya, I was confronted by a French fighter jet monitoring NATO sanctions against Libya.
I heard a massive ‘explosion’ as the jet broke the sound barrier directly over the boat. I received a VHF ‘call’ from the French Fighter Jet Pilot , as you do!!
Whilst he spoke to me the jet circled my yacht with one wing pointed at the sky and the other at the ocean!
From the pilot in eloquent English, “Hailing the white ketch, This is Lieutenant …. from the French Airforce division of the NATO sanctions patrol on Libya, do you copy, over. “
I responded, how could I not! “Copy that NATO sanctions patrol. How can I assist you, over?”
Pilot; “I need to know your vessels name and call sign, where your next destination is, what port did you commence this voyage from. How many passengers and crew are on board and what freight you are carrying, over”.
I replied “I’m a fucking yacht, I’m not carrying any freight, the yacht is the fucking freight, over”. Bear with me, this guy arrived in an explosion at sea, I was a little rattled, I admit that.
Pilot replies” Copy that Sir, I need definitive answers to the questions. You’re in NATO controlled water and airspace, my role is to get answers to my satisfaction, or I will instruct a Navy vessel to come alongside, and a boarding party will get the answers we require.” I dropped my attitude, answered his simple questions and we politely bid each other adieu, more about that event, below.
A Conversation Between a French F111 Fighter Jet Pilot, a Kiwi Yacht Skipper and Everything in Between.

Hero of Ireland, Muammar al-Gaddafi, speaks of his support for the noble cause of Irish Freedom.
“Patrick Ryan is the infamous former priest who sourced money, weapons and materials for the IRA during the troubles and even personally met with Libyan dictator Mummar Gaddafi to buy guns for the Republicans.”
Listen to this incredible juxtaposition of a catholic priest working for the IRA & Gaddafi!
If the above history interests, you I highly recommend John Crawleys book: The Yank: The True Story of a Former US Marine in the Irish Republican Army John mentioned their smuggling op had been leaked to the Brits, he implied there was a ‘tout’ in the IRA leadership, that is linked to Steaknife and the work of fellow comrade Anthony MacIntyre The Belfast Project, Boston College, and a Sealed Subpoena That link will take you to Macker’s website The Pensive Quill.
I watched two presumably P.I.R.A. volunteers fire an RPG at a Saracen on the Falls Rd, the round hit, didn’t explode, ricocheted off into some open ground and kept spinning until the propellant expired.
