The Australian Bureau of Meterology currently has us on El Nino “Watch” with a prediction that we may enter a new El Nino in the southern hemisphere spring.

I believe that the next strong El Nino will inflict the final blow for the Great Barrier Reef which is already in hospice due to previous recent bleaching events. Worldwide tourism accounted for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions from 2009 to 2013
We are in the early stages of runaway global warming that will lead inevitably to the total loss of habitat on planet earth. What geoengineering lengths will the psychopaths in the military industrial complex go to to slow down the armageddon? I believe we will see an orchestrated nuclear winter. Imposed social taboos to not talk about this…who profits from that, eh? The CIA invented the term ‘conspiracy theory’ to cancel anyone questioning any official government stories/propaganda and that includes climate collapse.
So has anybody else noticed that when we bring up what is happening to our planet we are immediately dismissed from ‘rational or reasonable’ discussion as an ‘alarmist conspiracy theorist’ and you can see the walls come down in front of the eyes you are talking with?
When I mention that I have a science degree from Utah State U they bring up belief in Jesus. You just can’t break through the denial with these people (and it feels like they outnumber the realists).
The Inevitability of Nuclear War link…didn’t realize it was PCR piece that I had read before and probably have in documents in the WWIII folder. I remember ‘practicing’ duck & cover during the Cuban Missile Crisis in Mission Beach School which was about 4 line-of-sight air miles from aircraft carrier row in San Diego Bay… It has affected my subconscious ever since. Bluntly, I hope to be in downtown Spokane when that happens rather than on this mountain property 40 miles north because there really isn’t any living left to be done once the first missile is launched. Knowing that Hiroshima was a 12kt atomic bomb compared to the MIRV 10megaton thermonuclear hydrogen warheads that make Hiroshima a little firecracker. The mushroom cloud from a 10MT hit on Spokane will be over my property, and even being to the west and north behind ridgelines and mountains isn’t going to make much difference when the air concussion hits. My wood house will probably fall down from that or the ground shock.
I figure instant death is far better than suffering for a week or two as your skin peels off and the so-called survivors raid the rural areas for supplies…
Kevin, what are you going to do when the extremely wealthy United States psychopaths that start this flock to their bunkers and hideouts they’ve been buying up in New Zealand? They will undoubtedly bring their own private armies and will try to take over/influence the local governments, water & food supplies.
Shades of Neville Shute’s book I’m thinking since we’re already living in Huxley’s Brave New World and Orwell’s 1984 & Animal Farm…

In 1989 the UN said we had a 10 yr window of opportunity to avoid dangerous climate change and they failed to act.
I suspect the reason was they found it was already too late even then.
