James asked me what I did to maintain my sanity whilst bearing witness to the great unraveling and I mentioned that I volunteer at the Rakino Island Nursery

Global dimming ( apart from the likelihood of the abrupt release of gigatonnes of methane ) seems to be the nail in the coffin as knowledge of and urgent talks about this are notably absent. Meanwhile global inaction and rising emissions continue without abate or plans to account for disastrous dimming effects.
Global grassroots knowledge about and acceptance of abrupt catastrophic climate change is staggering in light of scientific and observable evidence. No mitigation plans or anticipatory preparation is in sight … so why are we not establishing a global action to over throw current parliaments and why are there not more resignations within government, authorities and the scientific arena? Ps Love your work

.Why are there not more resignations..because nobody wants to be homeless and starving on the street. Been there done that, during Nixon’s ‘Stag-flation’ and no jobs to be had and it was…I can’t blame anyone for not choosing to risk that. And that’s what happens to people who push too hard at the foundations of power in human societies throughout written history. The psychopathic/sociopath personalities are the ones that seem to always end up on top of the pyramid because it takes a sick mind to want to do what it takes to get a person to that exalted status.
And since one will do anything to achieve that, they will do anything to keep that power. But having that much more power means one can do worse and get away with it. Look at the US whistleblowers of illegal government actions in the last 18 years. A war crime video gets you to Leavenworth and torture while the war criminals that order it and those that followed the orders face nothing. Release info about CIA breaking the Geneva Conventions Treaty (the law of the land by Constitutional mandate) and the Nuremberg Principles and who goes to prison? The whistleblower. There are gofundme sites for these people because they are Pariahs and Untouchables. They did what was right and will pay for it the rest of their lives.
Few humans can handle being a Pariah of Society. We are a tribal species and being conscious of just how alone you truly are brings on PTSD in studies I’ve read.
Or in prison for ‘national security’ reasons. Or made-up reasons as governments who don’t like you are quite good at thinking those up. You know how much a passel of lawyers cost nowadays?
Or dead in an ‘accident.’ Or ‘rendered’ to some black site.
Or have your wife divorce you and take the kids and you are fired from your job and nobody will hire you and you end up in a little room where you commit ‘suicide’ by shooting yourself in the head…twice. Like investigative reporter Gary Webb of the San Jose Mercury Newspaper who published direct links of the CIA delivering crack cocaine in the 70s to the dealers in minority city communities that effectively (beyond their wildest dreams) disrupted all social protests. It worked perfectly and now we get a black neoliberal-neocon right wing MIC killer like Obama to continue the neocon-neoliberal carnage started by Cheney & sockpuppet W. Then we get Trump! Oh my f**king hell.
How does one commit suicide by shooting yourself in the head TWICE? I mean, isn’t once enough? I believe the CIA, the Mafia, and the military call that a ‘double tap.’
And as fast as the climate acceleration continues to wind up…oh my. When the scientists start to self-censor their own work you know things are at the breaking point. And we heard about that a few years ago.

Our species is very underdeveloped and yet it tells it’s self it is sophisticated, clever and capable now of fixing anything with its cleverness .
I loved your response , it is what I see also.
Thank you for your tireless efforts to educate and wake up the world, the human race is consuming itself and killing everything else.
Your interviews are very powerful and direct in a world that seems to have lost its ability to be truthful and to be more than its ego . We have become so disconnected from reality and from one another becoming more and more selfish and devoid if compassion.

focus on mitigation of chaos might be a thing (lol) the western governments should be diverting military budgets to technology research into carbon capture into mitigation-efforts where climate change is being felt and anticipated now
But we seem unable to convince the masses to change their diets so how can we convince/re-educate the wealthy west to stop eating meat or to eat sustainable sources ( cows that eat the grasses as the evolved to do rather than as we have manipulated them to do )
